Weight loss
A calorie and training plan you can actually hold on a workday, paced so the weight stays off after it comes off.
Two Colorado Springs gyms · NFPT-certified since 2000
Keith Banner won gold and silver at the 1990 U.S. Olympic Festival as a member of the U.S. National Cycling Team, boxed amateur for four years, and has spent more than two decades coaching clients in Colorado Springs — downtown in the mornings, Briargate in the afternoons. One coach. One plan. Built around you.

The coach
Certified Personal Trainer — NFPT, AAS. Owner of Fit Happenz LLC, training out of Fit at the Plaza since the early 2000s.
Before he coached anyone, Keith raced. He rode for the U.S. National Cycling Team and came out of the 1990 U.S. Olympic Festival with a gold and a silver. From 1995 to 1998 he boxed amateur. Both sports teach the same thing, and it isn't talent — it's how to keep showing up when the work stops being fun.
He earned his NFPT certification in May 2000 and an A.A.S. in 2004, and he has spent the two decades since on one gym floor in downtown Colorado Springs. That matters more than it sounds. A trainer who stays in one place for 25 years is a trainer whose clients keep coming back.
“It's all about improving life through health and fitness. Whether your goals are weight loss, toning and body recompositioning, strength gain, functional fitness or sport-specific exercises — I have you covered.”
Off the floor he's still logging miles on the road and mountain bike. He is, as he puts it, never too busy to help.

Gold and silver, racing for the U.S. National Cycling Team.
Four seasons as an amateur boxer, through 1998.
Certified personal trainer, National Federation of Professional Trainers.
Associate of Applied Science, criminal justice.
Two-plus decades coaching the same downtown gym floor.
The record
Plenty of trainers say they competed. Keith raced for the U.S. National Cycling Team, and here is what is left of it.

What we work on
Keith's mission hasn't changed in 25 years: improving life through health and fitness. Whichever of these you walk in with, the plan gets built around it.
A calorie and training plan you can actually hold on a workday, paced so the weight stays off after it comes off.
Build muscle and drop fat at the same time. Progressive lifting, measured, adjusted every few weeks.
Squat, hinge, press, pull. Loads that climb on a schedule instead of a whim, with form coached every rep.
Carry the groceries, take the stairs, get off the floor. Training that shows up in the rest of your day.
Cyclists, runners, fighters, weekend athletes. Programming from someone who raced at the national level.
Not sure which one you are?
Most people aren't. That's what the first conversation is for — and it's free.

How it starts
A free sit-down about what you want, what's hurt before, and what your week actually looks like.
A written program built for your goal and your schedule — not a printout, not an app template.
Every session is coached in person. We track the numbers and change the plan when the numbers say to.

Two real sessions off the monitor. What you burn depends on your body and the work — treat these as what is possible, not a promise.
Results
No transformation happens in a fortnight, and anyone promising otherwise is selling something. This one took months of showing up.

Bobby came in wanting to lose weight and keep it off. He got a written program, a standing slot on the schedule, and someone watching every rep — then he did the boring part for long enough that it worked.
That is the whole method. There is no supplement, no six-week miracle, and nothing on this page that a person did not earn in the gym.
Individual results vary. What you get out depends on your starting point, your health, and how consistently you show up.
